Alternative evolution methods were becoming increasingly common in Pokémon games. If at the beginning of the franchise most monsters changed form when they were reached, when they were exchanged or through elemental stones, in future titles we saw creatures that evolved by learning a certain blow, being in a particular place, etc. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the youngest in the series, are no different either.
One of the funniest things in this ninth generation is the evolution of small Pokémon called Tandems. These two mice, which you will find in the early hours of the game wandering through some plain, have one of the most special evolutions of the whole saga. We see here how to get Household.
How do you get Household in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
While in Pokémon it is natural to have to level up a creature, give it a stone of evolution or even change it with another coach, in Scarlet and Violet seems that the developers wanted to surprise players with this aspect of the game. Tandems is one of the most curious of all available Pokémon.
The reason is that it is enough to have Tandems on the team that reaches level 25, and it automatically turns into Household, but without an evolution animation or any fanfare. Simply one or two Tandems puppies will appear with the main couple. This will make Pokémon now a total of three or four rats, renamed Household. They are still normal and will not learn any special blow, but it is extremely curious.
