A completely new, risky, team-based game mode that is a modern interpretation of multiplayer experience. Hazard Zone is unmistakable Battlefield, but differs greatly from all-out warfare.
Apart from that, there is no further details on the new game mode from the official side. But since the alpha test, there have been some info in the form of Leaks, which could be brought to light through DataMiners.
Here again the note: The info is based on the alpha. This is not a final version of the game, until the release can still change things. Nevertheless, the revealed information will give an idea of what players could expect in Hazard Zone.
Hazard Zone reminiscent of Survival from The Division
What causes the information about the mode? Much of the previously revealed details come from DataMiner Temporyal, who has already shared information about weapons and Seasons.
The principle reminds of the Dark Zone and above all the survival mode from The Division 1.
What was there?
- In Survival mode you were discontinued at the beginning of the game of random points on the edge of the card.
- From there you have to fight themselves into the center, in the Dark Zone, and involve data, which you have to fly out again using Heli.
- On the way to the center your Loot collects, meet at NPC opponents and other players who can attack you either, or you can go out of the way.
The coarse process of Hazard Zone has been almost identical.
Where are the parallel? Hazard Zone will probably mix Pv and PVP. Players are apparently deposed at the beginning of a game by helicopter on a map. The goal is to collect important data and to flee from a certain extraction point at the end of the game.

Extraction Streaks and Perks in Hazard Zone
How to work Extraction Streaks and Perks: If you create a successful extraction, you will be able to keep the collected loot. This is also a similarity to the Dark Zone of the Division. If you successfully complete several lots, you will receive so-called Extraction Streaks.
Streaks are in turn needed to unlock Perks for your character or discounts in the black market of Hazard Zone. If the streak is lost, one loses access to higher perks.
What Perks will be that? Apparently you will be unlocked through these Perks and other things. This includes:
- Initial equipment
- Faster healing
- Equipment Insurance
Perks will have different rarity levels and ranks. The more strikes you achieve, the more Perks you will shut down.
For the black market, there is a Hazard Zone currency to collect Dark Market Coins, with which you can obviously buy equipment in the Hazard menu. You can lose your equipment but apparently during games if you do not have insurance.
Whether there will be more upgrades and how exactly they work remains unclear. That will probably be explained in more detail with the official revelation of Hazard Zone.
Rumors to Maps by Hazard Zone
On which cards the mode will be playable? There are currently only speculation here. The DataMiner has so far only associated the orbital card with Hazard Zone. However, since his info comes from the Alpha Test, where the only playable map was, one can take only a few conclusions.
So far, insiders like Tom Henderson assume that all 7 cards from All-out Warfare are available in mode. That would be the following cards:
- Orbital
- Hourglass (Hourglass)

Previously, Henderson assumed that Hazard Zone relies on specially made maps and even get story content. What ultimately arrives, remains to be seen.

That would fit the previous rumors that Battlefied 2042 would not offer Battle-Royle, but still became a similar feature. The competition such as Call of Duty: Warzone or Apex Legends was thus quite successful.
Whether the F2P rumor is ultimately understood, the revelation of Hazard zone will show. We may learn more about the Open Beta of Battlefield 2042, which should start in September.
When should it start? So far, there is no exact date for the Open Beta. Tom Henderson, however, assumes that the beta is to start the early access on September 22 and then playable for all on September 24th.
